23/8/06 ... My last fast

Day-3
Fast made me look dull. Atleast that’s wat a gal told me. And then I thought – ‘ Enough, How can I even afford something like that from a gal?!! ;). God bless god, but I actually felt uneasy the 3rd day with no food and only boiled water.

I actually felt uninterested sort of. Plus didn hav much interesting work to keep myself busy.
Kept doing whatever came to me. Went out with one of my friends to get the phone repaired n all. I m kinda liking the experience of not having a phone except that I miss the phonebook. No I don’t mean I m gonna go with it long time.

Back home from work I was all dead-exhausted. Kept some music to listen to and dunno when I felt asleep. Dunno which world I went to, my landlord came and asked if I had kept the gate open and god knows what reply he got from me. :-)

Slept at 7 and woke up at 10 when one of my colleagues came to my place. It did make me feel good that he came. He kept condemning me for having tried what I did.

And I made up my mind that I m gonna break it tomorrow.
Went to one of my colleagues place for a tiny get-together sort of.

It was the last day of me fasting… It kinda made me happy. and offcourse her too...

Tuesday
Day 2.
Paryushan onfiltered=> upvaas ongoing.
Me still all ok. I love it that while it all started with the thought of ‘ekashraya’(having food only once in a day) I actually managed to makeup that I m gonna not hav any food the 2nd day as well.

Positively strange, I didn have much interesting to do at work. In fact I was almost bored. Doing work with no food is better than being hungry with no work, I tell you.

Went to few banks for tie-ups etc.

Went to get the ‘blessings’ in the evening.

Was so bored towards the evening that decided to go out. And there was this sale of upto 50% @ pantaloons n all. Went there with my friend. Bought white linen casual pants. Now may be it’s the fast of something but I could easily accommodate in one size less than what I’d normally fit in. It made me happy.

Avoided going to mamaji’s and they don’t even know what I m upto now.
Came home. Guess I walked too much today for not having food. And then I couldn’t even hav water to drink. Watched some random DVD. Didn feel like it.
Felt asleep.

I still wonder why am I exactly going for it? & whats the worth??!!!

MONDAY
(Can u believe having no work allows me to write this all from work)

So this gal@work had suggested me to undergo ‘upvaas(fast)’ for paryushan. Offcourse she almost has got this habit of saying lots of things and not(being able to) to deliver it all which I’ve got used to already now. But its alright I guess. Shes a girl anyways. You never know with them.
I m not normally the kind of guy who’d do or even believe in fasts n all. I remember having tried to keep thrusdays during college i.e. eat only once on thrusdays(for I don’t kno what?) but I couldn’t continue even for 4 consecutive thrusdays. But then everythings worth a try in life, they say.
And since
1)I think it was very sweetly nice of her to suggest it to me straight & 2) it was for God ;) - I actually went for it.

I presumed it wont be difficult. I mean I m a healthy guy with lot of ‘storage’.

Lets see….

It was gonna be different for sure. No food, not at all, and only boiled water that too till the evening 7:30 pm or so. So I had actually stuffed myself last night with all things I could want – dabelis/kachoris/pani puris/ras-malai/golas etc. Even slept early and made sure that I don’t hav any water after midnight.

I don’t know what was it but they never believed that I m actually going for it.
Wasn’t too difficult on the very first day. Ppl at work offcourse tried luring me by different food items etc but then ‘that don’t impress me much’.

Work went just ok. Went out for few mins to check results of a certain exam online. Damn, my office still doesn’t have internet.

Had to go to this place called ‘upashray’ which is kind of monastry where jain munis etc stay. Got ‘pachkaan’ i.e. their blessings (I guess). It was just few lines of mantras that finished much before I got that it started and closed my eyes.

So that was it… didn felt like goin out. Just watched someDVDs till I started feelin asleep n all.
Day 1 was quite good except that I felt bit worn out towards the end, but then that was an experience anyways.

5:50 pm...

woke up at 6:15 and the rains made me cancel the plans to go to 'saat hanuman' walking.

Watched 'kal ho na ho' early mornin. this movie, i tell u, works like coffee for me.

Was still almost asleep whn a colleague breaked into my place...
we planned that we cant plan anything for the day.

had lunch at uncles place, and slept for good 2 and half hours in the afternoon..
helped reach my cousin sis to her hostel.

came here to write this.

might watch 'ahista- ahista' at 6:45, lets c.

So it was saturday,

woke up and came back to my place
did my bit of laundry.

so i bit this orange pants which i never thot i wud in life.. still more, i wore it today and the first thing i did was laughed wathching myself looking in the mirror.
Fashion makes me do strange things... i dont mind exactly.

It made me reach office late at around 11.

There was some issue with the keyboard, reseating the cable made it work fine... i luv the engineer in me ..;)

Did my bit of work n all. So this gal @ work has got her own way of telin shes got so much work someday.

did the work, and left with her to go to a net-cafe... she checked her mails.. i walked her thru my blog(s), And can u beleive it all she was doing was kept yawning at it... offcourse i managed to break the ice wid the jokes and make her smile etc.
Why does she feel so much sleepy?

Bot few another DVDs.

Went this this janmashtami fair in the with my mamaji, it was ok. I didn dislike it as it was not over crowded and all. I bot some accessories and stuff.

Came home and slept.

Friday...

So there is this jain festival for about a week now, called 'paryushan'.

And the gal at work actually suggested me to go for it with the fast for the coming week. So shes jain offcourse.
It was so sweet of her to ask me bout it straight. and she said shes gonna take care of me as its gonna be first time i m gonna attempt somthing like that
ME: u 've been taking care of me anyways :)

Shes just keepin on increasin her importance in my value system

I did my work and stuff...

left frm work...

Went and got few DVDs,

So this colleague of mine whos alone at his place... went to his place for a 'treat', while watching DVDs, slept while watching the new chup-chup ke.

9:30 pm,

Thursday,

With all the holidays that preceded it seemd like a monday.

Reached rajkot @ 5:30... didn feel like sleeping then.
Employed on 'kal ho na ho' i think its the most refressing in early morning.

Listend to some music then.
Reached office early and strangely all other offices at this places were closed. It almost felt like a 'bandh' or public holiday.
Didn hav much 2 work. Did my bit.
No work+empty minds lead to lots of gossiping... i frankly think its unprofessional and not happening. Ya ok i was also a part of it.

I m so thankful to the gal@ work for waitin 4 me to leave together.

So,
it was my best friend lord krishnas b'day.

It started nice n all.

Sat on the pc to write bout KANK.

Talked with mom-dad bout my future an all.. yeah yeah...

was supposd to leave at 12:30.
Went to the temple in the night for the 'krishna-janma' ceremony @ midnight.

The bus was late and arrived at around 1:15...
thank got i had a ticket for a normal seat this time...

Its strange but one thing i did on this day a lot was sleeping.
Mainly as i had a bad long night journey.
I was sitting on the couch channel-surfing and it felt like saif in DCH courtesy my seat in the cabin next to the driver in last nights journey 'tujhe kya lagta hai main roz is takiye pe bethta hoon?'

Day @ home are relaxed.
I dont hav anything to do except sleep/eat/and channel-surf
Did all that along with talking with mom

So i m writing this on the 16th..

Monday at work was cool..

I talked a lot with the gal at work.I dont kno if its the rains or somthing... i just take it out whtever comes to my mind . I like it that she brought lunch for me although it ws her fast.

Left work on time courtesy the gal.
Its becomin fun.

So mom called up and asked me to visit her as the Diu trip from office is cancelled.
Did my packing n all, i always miss mom while packing.

Had dinner at mamaji's
and left for gandhidham at 11.
Can u beleive i had to opt for the cabin seat. it sucked.

So i end up writing my diary weekly...

neah i dont think so.. but its a novelty to do it sometimes anyways.

gotta write lotsa things i did.

- Tried making up with the gal@ work... i so much dislike doing it. It always a guys mistake haan. Made up with choclates n all. Lemme confess this nice good guy that i m from within i cant be rude to gals.. not to all of them atleast. And cant beleive she actually did it to me ' get free at 6' lol. I rather leave her or forgive her or somthing

- went to this village called 'Sanathali' officialy. the climate was good enuf for a bike-ride. We did get wet and evn dried up twice. It agen made me feel like 'mohan bhargav' in Swades, albeit i didn find 'Geetli'. Can u beleive the gal @ work actually asked bout it and i replied ' guji gals aint smart'. Guess wht she didn hav anythin to say. ;)

- whats it with gals and choclates and that to dairy milk.

- kept doing my work.. gettin better at it otherwise.

Woke up @ 5:30
Me and my friend went to temple 'Saat Hanuman'. Its around 18 kms from our place. The best part - we went there walking.

Had a weird friendhship day. No Comments.
Aint it an irony that we need a special day to be celebrated as 'friendship' day.?!!!
I mean friendship and love for that matter are too universal and cute feelings to be alloted to single days. While and entire life is less to cherish these, we asign a single-damn day in year to them.

Went office on time for a saturday.

Started doing my pending work and all.

A female did it to me again. Made me realize that i just can never understand them. The less said bout it, the better.
I mean theres always a better way to say 'no'.All i was/wanted to say is that 'thank god u r here, i was so bored'.
And its useless being sweet with ladies.

Went to watch 'Anthony kaun hai' in the evening.
Its just ok.

I hate to admit it - it was a bad day.

Friday..

after so many days now, i reached office earlier today.
i dont kno what exactly made me do that.

Did work and all...

Cancelled the proposed trip to Mt. Abu with one of my friends.

I actually told this today to tht 'gal @ work': " why do gals take everything so seriously".

And she told me that " i talk too much"
I said right i m a 'nikhalas' guy but i always try to speak good which wont hurt anyone.

i quite didn like that she left early and that we coudnt leave together... and its absolutely fine.

God i cant beleive i m behaving like this kid already.

Gotta write more .....

I hope its ok to address u like that, coz mostly you are never gonna come to know that someones writes bout u. I dunno whts it with u, u aint an ordinary gal. U talk nice and less. Much lesser than me. U like movies, not as much as me maybe. I think its too sweet of u to invite me to your place for food. But frankly despite all ur niceness i find it positively odd at first but yeah i wanna sure join u in dinner soon. Pls dont do it to me that u ask me for food its k, and if i do it, its bad. I m almost afraid of it. Because frankly i find this place rajkot sad and unfriendly at times. Not as gud/cute as pune-delhi atleast.

thursday...

so the rains made me avoid going there yesterday...
but the 'sincere himanshu' + no rains compelled to go amreli this day.

left there at around 9.
The most sucking part was that i was going alone...
slept during the bus journey... and slept more...

Going thru a crowded place with few villagers in the bus and me dressed nicely formally makes me feel like SRK in swades in the train sequence ... ;)

It rained on and off during the journey.
Reached the bank... met the guys there... and then was taken to the manager guy.
Did the talks and tea.

It was a matter of not even 2 hours.

didn feel like lunch. caught the next available bus to leave back

rached back in rajkot at around 6. reached office to discover we were closing already. got lift from the 'gal @ work' to my place... didn invite her to my place due to all the filth there.

Oh i luv it whn shes happy...

I loved rains coz it made me avoid going to amreli today,

So reached office late...

i know this is strange and may be sweet too but apart from not liking the fact that i was supposed to go alone what made me happy nt going amreli was that i 'd spend more time at work as i kinda dislike goin to amreli. And may be the office is much better with the new gal at work.
damn i cant beleive i wrote that.

but ya thts true...
had a normal day at work...

it still raind...
went to watch 'omkara' 9-12... its no ordinary movie now.
it was an experince. and it made me keep thinking.

Monday was normal at work
went out to pantaloons/Vmart etc looking for a superman T-shirt.
Was so much lured by the trousers and rainwear there... but pleasantly controlled mainly as ive lost my debit-card(ya hell).

tuesday 8:45 pm

gave my bike for its first servicing today
work was normal...
took lift frm the gal at office,God bless her, to drop me to the service station and got my bike back,,,
they made it look like a black beauty again with the cleaning n all.
And riding it makes me feel like being with a virgin ...;)

I luvd it being invited to a gals place for dinner..

missed watching omkara today also..

gotta go to amreli tomorrow..

30/7/06 ... The sunday when it kept raining.

now-10:00 pm

So it had started raining since last days afternoon already.
And the entire night it rained, as i was told .

So we had this function of a bank who r our client and we were supposed to go and fecilitate the chairmain etc with a momento and all.

Hd put the alarm of 8 'o clock.
heard it and woke up at 8:30.Rains make me sleep more
didn tak a bath in the morning. havnt taken yet for that matter

Was in mood of drenching in the rains. I was all ready to go out,reached bout 300 mts away frm my place in my bike and my mobile rang to inform me that we hiring a car n so i shud stay at my place.

well i never said i mind.
Kept a DVD of few SRK movies to watch kal ho na ho songs n that to mainly 'kuch to hua hai ..'. as far as i m concernd, this song cud make coffee nervous on a rainy morning.

While i had 'main hoon na' playing the peeps honked outside my place.
i lockd my room n entered the car to discover i was the only one in informals. but guess we were running too short of time for me to change and then i find it so boring not to be able to wear casuals on sunday.

reached the venue after collecting a bouquet and the trophy on way.
offcourse i had a tiny but hot tussle with the trophy maker, to the extent that the rajkotiya guy that he must be, he told my colleagues in a rough tone - ' aane saanchvine lai jaajo'.(take care of him)
The best part: one of my colleague shouted: he can take care of all of us.

reached the venue. my informal wardrobe didn allow me to go on stage. not that i minded.
had 3 cups of tea. teas works fine with me in rains atleast.also that then there was nothing else.

Lunch was called for. They had the usual food for a ocassion. The only stuff i luvd having were the hot spicy 'assorted bhajiyas'
and the evn hotter dhoklas with oil. Works perfect during the rains.

Now i never knew it but i had sent the car guy back and maybe we had not plans to call him back or somthing-
We ended up going our places walking. This when it was already raining.I didn mind as i was already dressed to get wet and had my adidas on unlike others wearing leather shoes.

So 4 of us ended up walking frm this place called 'fieldmarshal farmhouse' to raiya cross roads on 11 numbers' bus.
We helped 2 ppl on the way to get their cars outta water.
Offcourse one of us did comment-how much hav we decided it for?(ketla ma nakki karyu).There were places where the stagnant water was gud enuf to make walking hard.It was fun offcouse.

3 outta the 4 reached my place and we treated ouselves with a bit of 'spirit' which was left as a residue from the last get-together.

Dried myself up.Watched the rest of 'main hoon na' then 'chalte-chalte' then finished the first CD of 'raghu-romeo'

I felt like eggs for dinner.

Strange enuf but i found only myself online these days.

i hav some snacks to munch upon in the night.

And its still raining...

Started my day by putting the 'Kal ho na ho' DVD.

Hw much i luv this movie.; and the philoshophy behind it.
nothing as refreshingly romantic as listening to 'kuch to hua hai...' while its drizzling nicely early morning. It makes me feel like starting to fall in love. And at the same time theres some part of me which tells me its so stupidly foolish.

did my bit of laundry
left cleaning my small lil home to tomorrow.(i hope that doesn sound as if i m being lazy or smthing)

went to work at around 11.

I m finding this new gal at work cool day by day. And she too is positively very nice n friendly with all for that matter.
Shes so much like me. watches lots of movies and remembers 'em.
its nice havin lunch with her everyday nw.
offcourse other peeps frm the office join us n all at times.

did try n call up another gud ol friend in the afternoon.
Gals keep doing this agen n agen.
Lemme anounce... i m not falling for them. Not always atleast.

came here and found only myself online.
did some work@ email.

Its raining almost all the time here...
riding my bike is so much fun already

confirmed that i m gonna give my bike for servicein on monday... mostly

I wanna confess it in front of my diary that I hate myself for behaving this way.
But then lets see.
lemme just try and summarize the happenings

- it rained nice and heavy and nice

- my bike got is first scratch .... shit

- i kept on trying losing weight

- became friendlier with the new gal at the office

- had an official trip to ahmedabad

- restrained from shopping

- had a dominos pizza after a long time

- watched the killer n quite liked it

- slept thrice while watching Golmaal

- started trying to avoid junk food

- started loving riding my bike even more

- luvd munching daalwada at ahmedabad

- had muska-bun after long now

a day when lots of things happned.

Workwise nothing new...

I went to RTO and got my bike a name/number....
GJ 3 BJ 249 is mine.
I luv it that they had '249' available.

2)
And then theres a clothes brand called koutons...
I went to 2 of their stores and bought 1 cargo+3 linens + 3 shirts = SEVEN clothes.
Offcourse they are offering 20 on 50% = 60 % flat discount now...
And the collection was worth it..

gotta shop stopping.. err... stop shopping.

3)
Had my first ever paan in rajkot. Mainly as i had gotten my tongue bitten and some ingrdient called 'Katha' in the paan is relaxing in such condition.

i missed corporate agen...may be tomorrow.

so i wake up at around 8.. didn feel like workout at all.
Watched 'Company' early morning.

helped my mamaji to guy a DVD in xchange for his VCD player.

Yep the equation works fine wid me.

being at work was fun... coz
1) i was kinda the boss
2) saturday
3) My boss on leave...
4) i kinda didn hav any work pendin with me

didn do much of my work.. as i didn hav much of it pending...

Baaki job par navi chhokri aavi chhe... ena saathe vaato/lunch ni maja aave chhe.i m likin the fact that the new gal v got recruited is nice n professional.
I kno wht ya gonna think n all, bt then seriously shes nicely friendly for a rajkot gal, till now atleast. mayb bcoz shes been to baroda n all or sumthing. Plesantly she doesn evn speak in that rajkotiya accent. Rather she speaks less and in amdavadi like beta,bakaa etc. She luvs watchin/talkin bout movies too. I m not sure of this but i like it that she tolerates me(and not just me for that matter) - as in my non-sense talks,teasing on her being jain n all. But u never know with gals u kno. God bless her.
And I m absolutely unsure if this was important enuf an update worth mentioning.But then what the heck!

Works gonna be mor fun. And i see something interesting coming. God bless me.

Also got the copies of the other ones except mixed doubles... n i feel bad bout it.

Since 4 days now and for the coming week too, my boss is on holidays so moi am the in-charge of the office.
I like to write that we took the max'm benefit of this fact and got a gal recruited for a post that was supposed to be filled up soon.

Now havin sum nice pretty gal has got its own effects/aura at work on every single guy.

It went normal workin day.

Back to home i bot 4 DVDs
notting hill+julia roberts collection,my brother nikhil, mixed doubles(i love this one),bhoot etc.

I luv these.
gonna get mor tomorrow

had hot 'pakodas' for dinner at mamaji's.

5/7/06 ... Got my hair styled/ It rained n rained

9:35 pm...

It started raining at since around 10 :20 or so.. and it stopped not more than half n hour in between.
It made it nice cool an pleasant everywhere.

Now my boss is out for a holiday for a week or so... And so i m(one of the guys) in charge of the office.
That makes everyone here happy.. coz i m kinda liberal n all ;)
also the weather wasnt exactly conducive for a normal days work...
offcourse i did my work n all.

Can you beleive that my hair-stylist from ahmedabad called me up since he was here for 2 days.?!!... Went there .. got my locks(yea ok) styled.(hair cut sounds so boring n cliche) .
Got em shorter this time... for i-dunno-why.

offcourse i went out when it was still drizzling..

Had severe headache, in fact still having a bit of it. Mainly i was up till bout 3 am today early morning and woke back up at 5:30 for no particular reason

We had a new recruite at work today. Shes gonna join from tomorrow... lets c.

ye since 3 days now i ve started doin bit of workout n all at night in my room.. that makes me bit lazy in my early morning walk sessions. Ive always been comfortable that way... doin the stuff at night rather than waking up early.

Way back to office bought 6 new DVDs.

Just had a masala dosa @ sankalp in rajkot for dinner.

IT JUST HAPPENED TO ME AGAIN. SOME ONE TOLD ME SHES GONNA CALL ME AND NOTHIN OF THAT SORT HAPPENED. NEEDLESS TO SAY TWAS A GAL...

hmm.. Gals.. they keep doin it all the time !

Monday....

Went to mamajis to meet dad before leavin for the office. Dad wanted my bike so asked him to drop me to work. Now i just had the thought of asking him to come to my office and meet everyone. I dont know, but theres something unusual on your dad meeting your boss. U kinda have this natural sincereity thing from within urself, atleast for that much of time.

Nothing else.
Went to uncles place again for lunch.
Came back to work to discover that the power was out.
Made few calls n all.

Was so bored.. came out this cafe to write this...

Woke up early at 5:30.

Didn go for the walk but did my bit of crunches/workout etc.

Had a unplanned visit from my Nani-nanaji along with mom ji. Now naturally my room was a mess and all. It had all my stuff - Sunglass covers,DVDs, clothes, towel etc scattered here and there.. but i arranged it as quick as i could to make it look more tidier.

Went to mamaji(uncle) s for lunch.

Although it rained on the way,went to Big Bazaar with mom, uncle-aunt and their kids. It was hell crowded.
Still i manage to bring 2 bed-sheets,some snacks,sports-socks,himani navratna hair oil, 2 bracelets and a necklates for me.

Then came back to write this stuff.

Dads gonna be here in bout 30 mins.Gonna go and pick him up.

1/7/06 ... Saturday/ I Had a friend visit me...

I've always loved saturdays. And then there was this gud friend of mine who was here at rajkot and we are supposed to meetup. It felt real good.

Didnt go to work.
As usual i was a tiny bit late to pick her up at her uncles place. But i did find the place an got her. Showed her the small better part of rajkot. Went to the newly opened pantaloons at rajkot. Unlike 'Rahul' in 'Dil to pagal hai' I think going shopping with gals could be a pleasure.

I love it when it rains while the sun is still shining !!!

Had a long 'chatty' lunch at the U S Pizza(yea they got 2 of them here in Rajkot.) I'd loved if we could have had to go to my room 'coz I could have shown my DVD and soap collection and more importantly i have not had any of my friends visit my place yet. but we were running outta time i guess. Nvm, as she would agree and said, we both had fun.

I got to know somewhat distinctly the difference between a 'Best friend' and a 'friend'. Can u beleive it came from a girl?

Took Mom somewhere with mamaji to buy a saree for her. She bought a green bandhani one.

Friday,

Normal day at work.

Had planned to go to RTO to register my bike but coudnt do it as the colleague with whom i was supposed to leave had to go somwhere else for work.

Did the work n all.
Came to know that Mom is gonna be here at rajkot today. Hence informed boss that i m gonna be late/absent tomorrow for work, which is just fine as saturdays are not official working days anyways. Went to Mamajis to meet her up.

Also that one of my gud frens from ahmedabad is here in rajkot and that we wud meet up. good for both of us.

Watched 'A lot like love' back at home.

Thursday

Not a very good day to start off...

Coz they want everyone to care about themselves, they want them to wear a helmet on a bike n all. And if you dont do that they fine you. What i mean is that while going to work the traffic cop fined 50 bucks for not having my head guarded by a helmet. I kinda gave up on trying to escape submissively. It was my mistake anyways. Law is law.

Work was just ok.

Went to the showroom from where i bought the bike to collect the bills,insurance etc. Was also supposed to go to the RTO here to get my bike registered.but couldnt as it as already late. 'Ve thought of getting the number '249' for it. Lets c.
Will be going there tomorrow mostly.

Did some work while on my way back to office. It rained nice and heavy while returning. I had some nice hot sandwich and coffee on way back.

Back at work dried myself and did my stuff. In the evening we ordered assorted 'bhjajiyas/pakodas' that included some hot tasty potato,chilli,onion,lasaniya,batata vada,brinjal, dalwadaetc which are a perfect snack when it rains.

Didn have much for work today although.

-about how they have printed my visiting cards incorrectly
-about how it sucks not to have the internet connection work in the office
etc.

The gal i saw yesterday made me watch Sathiya.

I bought the membership of a local videostore here. They got a good collection of VCDs/DVDs. M gonna hire my fav ones and get them copied.
I've bought the CDs of 'A lot like love' and ' Forrest Gump' to get them copied.
I love these too.
Will be getting these 2 back as soon as i go back from here

27/6/06 ... Tuesday in Ahmedabad/I saw her...

Reached here at 3:30 am.
I had come here for work for sure. And i think i've told this before - i love it when i come here officialy, it kinda mixes work and pleasure.

Did few bills of my place back in ahmedabad. Reached the office there at around 10:30.. directly went and met the sir I was supposed to meet. Clarified the stuff required positively. Also met a slacker back here who is compltely shitty as far as work is concerned and who infact is the primary reason for me having to come here. It rained pleasantly for sometime in the afternoon. Finished my work by around 4. Went to mausijis' then.

Met one of my college buddies at tea center and we munched 2 samosas there along with some good quality tea.
Also tried planning for our HP trip towards the end of July. Lets see, if it works out we r gonna go to Mcleodganj, Dharamshala etc for trekking etc.

took a 9:45's bus for Rajkot.
Now heres the interesting part...

'Twas like i could port on the bus only and exactly when it was about to start off. I had the seat in front on the right most corner. As soon as i entered obviously all the seats were occupied. I did observe this sophisticated good looking gal, kinda one you wont expect everyday on a bus, not at such a time atleast. I thot ok fine she is nice n all. Then an uncle or for simplification a kaka sat next to me.
Due to the way the bus was being ridden or i-dont-know-what my bag that i had placed fell. I naturally stood and put it in front which also helped me support my feet. Now the cleaner guy of the bus came an check tickets etc and his head hit the rack to keep the luggage and this made a flow of light laughter pass through all the passenger. This made me look behind since i was in the foremost row... And I SAW HER SMILING....MA---AAA--AN. I almost felt like how forrest gump would have felt on seeing jenny for the first time -' She was like an angel. '
I dont like to write/confess this.. I fell in love... and more so i kinda made it obvious. I started behaving like this kid. Kinda what one would do when he would not even know that hes falling in love.She was cute.Had these punjabbi kinda luks but talked very gujratily. Bit built and tall, with the most innocent eyes, light open hair,sharp kinda face, and a stature of a very gud gud gal. I love that she actually too initiatives(or may be its just that i liked her).She kinda kept showin her cellphone to me(or maybe i assume this positively), I cant imagine i actually started thinking the things i started thinking then. I mean i went high and low thinking bout her, bout how would i meet her up again? Can i get/give her number? Is she alone?Should i talk to her now? or when?
Well Its the most difficult when its genuine. I couldnt do anything else except exhchanging smiles and sights. She already knows i like her.
I know the place where she dropped. Normally i m not the kinda guy who would try and follow it up and hold to it... but then i might see and try somehow... u never know..

Stuff like this makes me wonder how come God is free enuf to arrange for making us feel like this???

I SO WANNA MEET HER ATLEAST ONCE AGAIN..
AND PLS PRAY FOR THAT :)

Back to normal days work,

Another day when the electricity didnot exactly allow us to do a lot. It also rained lightly and nicely.

Convinced my boss that i hafta go for atleast one day to ahmedabad to do something that has been pending since sometime now. Made him agree to that. Left for ahmedabad at 10:15 pm bus. Talked to my buddies there while on bus. Saw 'Phir hera-pheri' fir se on the bus.

Went for a walk early morning, today instead of taking my bike to the ringroad and then walking round there.. we decided to walk through the 150 ft ring road. Had a cuppa tea while way back.

Did my part of laundry + cleaning the mess outta my room + cleaning my bike(and i loved that) back at home. Worked out a bit while watching Salaam Namaste. May be too ambitious but i m wanting to have those perfect abs.
Went to mamaij's for lunch. Slept for 2 hours in the day as it is healthy for hair/teeth/nail.
Came here and wrote this.
gonna stay here for a while now.

I went for my usual morning jog+walk at the race-course.

Today has been the day when i did the least work at the office. I spent more time decorating my desk.

Left office at around 3 for had to go somewhere.
Went with one of my friends and exchanged an Allen Solly undergarment i had bought for a jockey since i found the later one much more comfortable. Now since i like shopping, it made me buy my 8+1 = 9th sunglasses. Hmm...

while shopping, came to know bout goin to watch 'krissh' at 6:45.
Its a gud movie. very watchable. not the kind of which u would announce awesome but rather a super hit. Hrithik luks gud. Hes the 4th indian guy after moi,dhoni and john abraham to luk good in long hair ;) . But at times the movie gets unbeleivably bad.

Went back to the same place MTV,motel the village for the disc(o) sake of it. It came as a distressing surprise that they were playing garba at that place they called a disc. And that too in the most uncoolest form with the most unexpected kinda ppl trying their steps. S-U-C-K-E-D. More than anything. Also I was carrying my 'Let the music play' twin CDs... gave it this guy who thought he was a DJ.. He played a song or 2. I thought i had seen it. Went back to have my dinner. I never condemned rajkot ever more than i did yesterday while having my dinner.
Almost wished i were somewhere else for better.

It a nice weathered morning... Good enough cool for summers.

Woke up and went to the ring road for my morn walk. When i reached there my friend was waiting for me already, i was still a bit sleepy. Out of nowhere, i suggested to jog... and we did. We jogged some distance and passsed big bite.... and we jogged ... and we saw certain fair coming up ... and we jogged and we went pass a pretty lady busy on her phone ... and we jogged ... and we went pass galaxy, which by the reminded my thru the poster that Krissh released today.

And then we stopped. I lied on the parapet of the racecourse. Almost felt asleep for a while.
Then had 2 glass full of ' neero'(a health-drink prepared from palm.(kinda raw intoxicated fenny)

And found this place open to write this much...

Gud gud day at work.
Coutesy all the work i did yesterday, it went easy today.

did my bit of work.. what has made me feel gud n all is the weather it rained a bit and is kinda rainish(or whatever). Real pleasantly cold. Verrrry romantic :)

just made an excuse that i was out to get registered my new bike.

I wanted to go out early in the morning to the race-course ring road for a walk but after getting ready and all i realised that the landlord locks the gate of my place and so i can not take my bike out. Nvm i would ask the keys today or so.

Sat a lot and continuously in front of the pc at office. Still no internet with me @ work.

I hate the way i cant control my shopping instincts. Picture this: So everyone is born some day or the other. Now it happened to sir(boss') birthday today. We went out looking for some gift for him. Ended up at koutons and they were providing 50% flat discount. Amazing na. Well ye.. so we bot a nice formal shirt for sirji. And then i just went around looking at the collection. This ' looking around made me spend a worthy amount, despite the 50% discount. Ended up buying a corduroy blue trouser and 2 linens.
Gotta control.

Another amazing day... Went out to this place called motel the village as sir's party. The food was just a bit better than awful .. but guess what... I found out they have a discotheque there. and also that theres another one in rajkot. How much i love that. The DJ and music was not as good but then i like that one of my wishes got fulfilled. :)

gotta explore the other place this weekend.

ya i collected the keys for the gates lock so that i can go for the walk easily tomorrow..

June Add-on: Awesome/Awful thing about Rajkot:

Rajkot, i think is as good as the capital of saurashtra, and offcourse is among the major cities after ahmedabad, baroda etc. Heres a site dedicated to the city.

I've got so many relatives here. (I m not exactly sure if thats awesome or awful?!!)

Its like those major cities that the administration would not directly have command/care etc.
This, i tell you, has got its own pluses and minuses ...

Awful Stuff:

- paan and soda
Too much of anything makes it bad. Over here these 2 things themselves I consider are bad.
Every guy here savours a paan. With it comes this awful habit of spitting, spitting anywhere and everywhere. Theres a paan+ cold-drinks shop at virtually every 100 mts. (Btw i just found this site by a paanwala).
They dont have drinking water in rajkot, but they will always have tons of soda to be sipped ?!!!

- Stray dogs
Now the only lucky dog to have tasted my blood has been from rajkot. I dont like these street dogs in general. There are certain areas where in every 2nd street(sheri as they call it here) there are about 5 of them. They kinda scared me. There was this one time i was strolling back to my place after having an ice-gola(candy aka chuski) and somehow i had a parked car behind me and 5 ugly dogs barking/growling at me. It scared the hell out of me. I almost shouted 'mummy, mummy' due to fear.(ya atleast i m admitting it now). Offcourse now I remain prepared enough for them. I make sure even if a dog is sleeping i make it run away with a stone etc. Kinda started behaving like them. ;)

- The lingo
The language here is anything but cool. Now as i said rajkot is in saurashtra which in think in itself is typical. They have the most rough way of speaking good gujrati. Like the sound 's' becomes 'h', as in su --> hoon. Theres another word that i hate to here and get to hear so often - husiyari i.e. hoshiyari . They add these prepositions in the worst pronounced way:
like Aaeyy, Ooooy'e, alyaa etc.
Phone atticates here stink too. I hate hearing 'hannnnn' as the first thing on phone, and that too when the other guy/gal is making the phone call.
English in rajkot is spoke in gujrati. (ye right). So when something bad happens a pretty gal says 'sit'(to mean 'shit'). Complex sentence structure is a complete 'no-no'. I've not found one competent guy/gal here who is good/correct/confident english.

- Unprofessionalism and unsophastication:
Professionalism goes for a toss here. Everything is kind of its ok, 'chalta hai' attitued. Relations/emotions are considered too much here, unfortunately at work etc also. It kind of gets over the head at times. I mean one would love people being emotional and caring etc but too much of it would be nagging.
Even on a personal basis, if I lend someone something, getting back that thing of mine would be difficult.
Peope are naive and amateur. What more, they dont exactly wanna admit it.
Customer-service is a strange new word for this place. Instead of king, customer is more considered as the li'l brother.
People can be so very unsophisticated and raw. I dont exactly dislike it although. But then the general positive civic-sense also lacks at times.

- @ Rajkot you dont get english movies.
Ya sucks at times. Like i was waiting for 'Being Cyrus' to get released, and just kept doing that. Just came watching 'The Da Vinchi code' - yea in hindi. And it released a week late after it released elsewhere in the country.

Awesome stuff:

-I was born here ;) , yea right.

- Eating out lat-nights
Its fun in rajkot, especially in summers, people get outta their places at 10:30 or so. Snacks,food,juices,tea etc are served till as good as 3:30 -4 am at different places. There is some new DCP Rana here who is strictly trying to stop this. But still there are joints legally serving stuff 24/7.

- Food:
I love the typical guji snacks etc like ganthiya-jalebis they serve here. Having inexpensive yet tasty-lovely 'ice-golas' here is a pleasure. There arent those international eating joints yet but they do have US pizza,Sankalp,Big-byte(local), Smokin'-joes etc. Not bad at all. food is just ok.
And i like it that i get lemon-juice,lassi, milk-shakes at so many shops.

- 'The girls' :)
the girls here are nice. they are these guju-gorgues ones. Very sweet homely ones in general. Typical girls. Offcourse u dont want them to talk much.

- The weather
Theres nothing really great bout the weather here. But ye,unlike ahmedabad, even in summers it gets real cool by the evening. It becomes perfect for a bike-ride or even a stroll for that matter.

These have been from what ive experinced till now.
'Might just keep on adding here as i stay here more.

Did laundry in the morning. Also the mammoth task of cleaning up this mess called my room.

Went to mamaji for lunch... Had bout n hours afternoon nap.. siesta its called i think, Since ive been told its good to sleep sometime in the afternoon for the exoskeleton(hair,nail,teeth etc).

Went and watched DaVinci Code alone @ 2:30 pm. Liked it. I like the fact that Tom hanks' forehead is also expanding like mine. The girl in the movie reminded me of Parveen babi and i luved her car and the way she drove it in reverse.

Came here for blogging/chatting/mailling..

(This had happned before also when i had forgotten to switch off the fan)

Just came back after turning the shower off.

Wednesday.

Finally got our printer and the intranet up and workin.
Had logged a call @ HP for the printer. Those guys charged the company a worthy 2000 bucks to just send someone and tell finally that the cartridge needs to be replaced!!!

Kinda normal day @ work.
Except the fact that power went off for a while and in the meanwhile i went to HDFC bank.
i want to get my Delhis account transferred to this place so that i can finally apply for another debit card.(3 of which i've lost already). But,
these guys wont beleive i stay here. And why do they even want it in a bank account for?(I did ask this to the HDFC guy and he said in April there were certain scams like demat n all which had incorrect addresses etc.) . Result.
I have to get an ICICI bank statement which would have my current office address in it(as i kinda dont want to give my place's address, its a rented one hence.).And...
The ICICI lady says they charge for a statement... Me: What?
Lady: Ok, sir we wont charge you.
Me: ok better. good.
Lady: Sir, this is only since u r getting a statement for the first time.
Me: so u dont charge for the first time?(ye i actually said that in that plain english) and my colleague with me ws controlling his laugh)I'd tell everytime that its my first time.
Lady: we would come to kno. sir.
Me: Yea, yeah.

The ICICI Statement turned out to be a bitter revealation - I've spent too much already this month.
I mean i kno i m a smart shopper and all. Bt the issue now is that i dont have enuf time to use/employ all the things i buy?!!!

btw, i also got my hands to an MP3 CD that contains the songs of Kabhi Alvida na Kehna.

Bought a pirated-bt-original-luking Adidas wrist band frm a store. That makes with me an unoriginal adidas wristband;an original pair of adidas shoes;an unoriginal adidas sunglasses. :)

got it frm the servicing guys at 3:20 pm. bot 6 dvds on my way bak... chked them at my room.
IT WORKS ... This guy called himanshu js became happier agen :)
Its nt gonna be boring being alone at my room now on. I wont keep goin out anymor; thanx to the player and my stock of dvds.

Yep,

I did went all alone for the late night show of ' Phir Hera pheri' yesterday.. Its gud.. worth one watch absolutely.

woke up today, wnt for a hair cut. Told him to cut it short.... I kinda dislike tht he actually did it.. n i luk bit different (n may b cuter frm wht i ws yesterday.)

Js met one of my very old primary school buddies...
And another one while i hd gone to my college buddy to collect my 'The DaVinci code'

Ws supposed to go to mausi'ji for lunch, Cudnt make it there.

Had a pleasant meet with another gud fren at 3 to 6... no we didn go for a movie.

While returnin after lukin for my shoes... it raind nice. I hd lukd for adidas first.. bt the pair i liked didn quite convince me... so went ot RBK/Liberty/Nike/local shops etc. Finally ended up buyin the same adidas pair. ... And i ws on road while it ws raining heavily.

Got a black-red strippd adidas... they were offering 40% discount....
Lucky me :)

Left for this rajkot at 11:45 reachd my room @ 4 am.

met frens(hiren n his sis+suchita) at this new gallops mall in gud ol' Ahmedabad behind isckon. T his place came up js bout 20 days back... and its A-MMM-AAAA-ZZ-IING. Where else wud u get globus,lifestyle,derby, reebok, cottons,shoe-world,honest, US pizza etc (these r only the few names i remember nw) under one roof. Its nt even completely opened/occupied yet.
Ahmedabad js became more fun.

Did my bit of shoppin - a cream-brownish corduroy pants, and 3 cool shirts.(around 3k ka chuna).

I almost hate myself for being a spendthrift.

PS:
One of the sarcastic sights i saw on my way back to home: A cop riding his bike without helmet talking on his mobile phone. I did signal him towards head signalling him bout the absence of helmet. the dum'-ass that he wud be, he smiled and moved his hand to give the look of 'chalta hai'(its ok). Hillarious haan?!!!

Its fun being here.

May be bcoz i dont xactly stay here anymore(kinda u like the things u dont get often) or whtever.

One of the reasons of being here is my UPSC exams... i completed the general ability test. i did gud . It ws fun.

Met college buddies hiren, rohan, suchita, manan in the eve at freezeland.
Hd corn pineapple pizza, pau-bhaji, club grilld sandwich,garlick bread, toast, butter-scotch thick shake with vanilla among us.

Went for MI - 3 at night 9-12 @ city gold.
Shoppd for a formal belt and this twin pack audio CD of 'Let the music play' while we were waiting for the show to start. ( i luv the first CD, it also features 'Dont be shy').

The movie is js ok.

went back n slept.

the day i m supposed to leave for ahmedabad.

Nw BSNL is our ISP/Network service provider(or sumthin like that)
Due to sum fault in it, we dont have an intranet at office anymore. That obviously blocks internal sites + internet.
(which offcourse is the reason for me postin these few days' account late ;) )

Result:
We end up havin no work @ Work.

Being a restless soul, i did/arranged for sum manual work, like arrangin files,documents, papers, stationary,cleaning etc.

did some filing on excel... thts very boring.

And thats it..

left at 7:30 for ahmedabad. goin there is always a pleasure.

Reached 12:30.

very normal day.. i think i bot 2 other pair of sunglasses on this day...

no power at office made me go to a bank with one of my colleagues and this incidently, luckily saved me frm goin to a near by town - Jamnagar. (my boss went instead) as i ws on the banks visit.

I sumhow dont like the name of this day in week: 'wednesday'
Offcourse i like the way its pronunciation(with 'd' silent)

came to work bout n hour early... to send certain mails/chat/blog as nw chattin/mailin @work is technically blocked between 9:30 am ot 6:30 pm. Offcourse i still hav the advantage of bloggin'.

havnt had my lunch yet, jst dont feel like it.

did sum gud computer-work today @ office. still doin.

Called for the DVD... got to kno its nt done yet n is gonna be done in 1-2 mor days. i confirmed 1 or 2... she said 2... i almost scolded her.."ws told 3 days... hd calld u b4 n u said u r gonna call me bak.. n got no response...?"
Customer service is a difficult job... bt then any job u do in an incompetitive way becomes bad.

as far as the bike is concerned i dunno if i m procrastinating or js being lazy( or may be both)

Did sum shopping : jockey undies/3 pair of sunglasses tht makes a total of 6 or so. I hd gone to get covers to keep the alredy gogs i already possesed... n ended up buyin' 3 mor. Shoppin hs become addiction
evn bought different international bathing soaps(worth 250 bucks).

Avoided buyin a nice shirt..... thot hav been spendin a lot these days.

A gr8 day. Saturdays r always gr8 i guess.

The rain in the last 2 days made it nice n cool. nthin gr8 at work. we hd a power cut off(yea agen). so most of the ppl left n i hd all the liberty of usin the internet for bloggin et al.(hw much i luv dt).
Btw, tht also made me miss havin a laptop. gotta get it in sumtime nw.

Bike is 3-4 days away. hopefully

i hate myself for nt followin up on the DVD player being repaird or wht?

Also i m gonna buy a gud pair of sneakers, adidas mostly. coz i need to join gym. no i m nt puttin up a lot or smthin.. bt the way my eatin-habits n all r i js might start doin tht. n even otherwise i thnk i like workin out.

bought a mouthwash, handwash, hair conditioner, ear-buds. No aint dirty.

Yep it is.

10:30 am Thursday..

Ive been told its been pouring since around 3 am nw. Aint it awesome?!!. Theres smthing bout the first rain... its as special as first love . nthin maks me feel as romantic like it...(frm 'Tum' by euphoria:' pehla geet, baarish ki pehli boond... tum sheet ki pehli kampan...' ) Its already made it nice pleasant n cool here. I luv the wonderfully exclusive aroma out of the first drops on the soil.

Calld up one of my frens @ 6 am as hd plans to go for a walk by the race-course ring road... went out bt nt exactly there... hd hot pipin tea(with adu-masala) outside, perfect for the season. Packd hot ganthiya-jalebis for brkfast. Reachd office at 9:20 hd the brkfast n tea @ work.

Came to kno tht our intranet system is gonna be down the whole day...
... so here i m in this perfect weather.. with nt much work to do.. its gonna b lotsa bloggin today i guess;) .. Its gud to be me :)

bak to the normal office work after quite sumtime
offcourse the electricity didn let it be a normal day till 2 pm.(power cuts hv been another naggin thng here in rajkot after pan/tambaku etc) Went out to a bank etc... Took my DVD player to the autohrised onida repairers today finally n did sum shoppin on my way back(bought a nice cool adidas sunglasses n gud acessories among others, evn jockey boxers ;) )

came bak n joind work.

ive traveled a lot 4 work n otherwise
been on n off amreli 3 times.hd travedd about 580 kms in 2 days within amreli district in an a/c video coach indica. Among the names of the talukas-gamdas i visted@ amreli i remember rajula, neshdi, savarkundla, dhari, lathi, dhasa, liliya, babra, jafrabad, kotha pithda, jadiya etc ... ver strange , i kno. I ws told n did observe it as well... ppl at amreli r very hospitable.

hd been to gandhidham to meetup dad-mom on saturday sunday. it ws a pleasure for all of us.

Js had a thot that i kinda dont like the number 17.

discovered that i had to do about 5 times mor of filing compared to wht ive been doin in the last 2 days nw.(here filing aint physical filing bt the entry into the intranet system)... its drivin me crazy alredy. i m almost scard.
(I even tried system restore to undo the mistak that ive mad in the system.. no go.)

Sunday.. goes without sayin; they r fundays.

also lately sundays r the ones when i m missin' havin a bike nw.
gotta get it the comin' week for sure.
the problem nw is that i decided upon pulsar after so much time, bt nw i thnk the petrol-tank of pulsar is too large. ( i thnk too feminine at times- if u cant choose, go for the cosmetic value).
and i thnk pulsar is costly for a bike(compard to the luk n output) n that dad thnks the average aint dat gud.
(i've always luvd to have choices...bt its nt the case that i buy a shirt i dont like it i dont wear it. and buy another one.... its a bike n all. no need to get 2 of em.. id rather prefer 2 cars ;) )
Only if chosin ws n easy job for himanshu.

also ive tried gin lately... hd it with limca... thnk its similar to vodka...
i thnk id still prefer beer.

Survived the marriage of sum relative of one of my colleauges. (Despite of smilin at all those unknwn ppl with a 'kem chho?' ) i liked the basundi, assorted pakodas(guji sweet- condensed milk) and chhas(butter milk).
i really wondered wht makes ppl marry in summer, n invite ppl to eat in aftrenoons( wht more, they serve butter naans there?)?
i mean marriages r made in heaven. Gud. whts all the show/pomp n all down @ the earth.
(gotta write mor bout marriages soon)

My office peon met a minor accident while ridin one of my colleagues' pulsar wherein he underwent few scrathes n all(n he tells he collided with a cow!!!)
